Société Royale Belge de Géographie (SRBG) – Royal Belgian Society of Geography
SRBG est associée aux principales sociétés de géographie européennes au sein de la Société Européenne de Géographie, dont elle est un des membres fondateurs. Fondée en 1876, elle accordait dans un premier temps, comme les autres Sociétés de Géographie à cette époque, une grande attention à la promotion coloniale et commerciale. Avec le temps, et surtout après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, elle s'est de plus en plus exclusivement tournée vers la promotion et la vulgarisation des sciences géographiques.
Société Géographique de Liège
Créé par le Professeur J. HALKIN lors de la célébration du 25e anniversaire du Séminaire de Géographie de l'Université de Liège en 1928, le Cercle des Géographes liégeois avait pour mission de rassembler les anciens élèves de la section de géographie. Svenska Sällskapet för Antropologi och Geografi (SSAG) – Swedish Society for Anthropology and Geography
SSAG was founded under its present name in 1877, as an extension of the activities of the Association for Anthropology founded in 1873. This was a time of great exploratory expeditions, and the SSAG took a particularly active part in the scientific description of the Arctic region. In recent years SSAG is more dedicated to the popularization of the three disciplines and to current topics, e.g. environmental degradation, physical planning, political geography and questions of underdevelopment.

Khedive Ismail founded the Khedivial (later Royal, now Egyptian) Geographical Society in 1875 to promote and legitimize his empire in the Sudan and the Horn of Africa. Geographical Society of China (GSC)
The Geographical Society of China is one of the earliest established academic societies in China. Her predecessor is the Geoscience Society of China organized by Zhang Xiangwen in Tianjin in 1909. In 1934, Zhu Kezhen, a well-known scientist, founded the Geographical Society of China in Nanjing. At the founding of the P.R.China, the two organizations were merged into the current Geographical Society of China in 1950. The society aims at promoting the scientific research, encouraging the full participation of its members and geographers across the country, popularizing national geographical knowledge, train qualified professionals, making contribution to the socialist modernization drive, and developing the socialist material and spiritual civilization. The Society has more than 20,000 members, who are geographical workers from research institutes, colleges and universities, middle schools and governmental agencies etc.

Hong Kong Geographical Association
