Senior Fashion Revue – For exhibitors in grades 8 and up as of January 1, 2015.
When: Friday, June 26, 2015
Where: Blackhawk Technical College (Commons Area), 6004 Prairie Rd., Janesville
Time: Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. for all classes, and judging begins at 9:00 a.m. The dressing room will open at 8:00 a.m. You must turn in your completed description sheet(s) when you register. You are responsible for checking with the registration table to learn when your class(es) will be judged. Judging will continue through the lunch hour without a break.
All blue ribbon winners (except those from the “Purchased Clothing” class) are eligible for Awards of Excellence, which represent approximately 20% of Senior Fashion Revue'’ exhibited entries. Selection for Awards of Excellence will be made following completion of judging on June 26. State Fair Fashion Revue Winners also will be selected and announced at this time. Recipients of the Grand Champion, and the Farm & Fleet Trophy will be announced at the conclusion of the 4-H Fair Senior Fashion Revue Show on Sunday, August 2.
Teen Choice Awards are selected by Senior Fashion Revue participants at the time of the Awards of Excellence judging. Participants will be asked to select garment(s) they would most like to wear. Special Teen Choice ribbons will be awarded to winners at the conclusion of the 4-H Fair Senior Fashion Revue show on Sunday, August 2.
When do I bring my garments to the fair? All garments for the Fashion Revue must be displayed at the Fair. Attach your pre-printed entry tags and ribbon to the upper left portion of the garment for display at the fair. Bring Senior Fashion Revue entries to Craig Center on Monday, July 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Awards of Excellence winners should bring those garments by 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27. Remember to attach your ribbon(s) and entry tag(s) to the garment(s).
All Fashion Revue participants are required to model in a fashion show during the fair to receive their premium money. The Senior Fashion Revue Showwill be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 2 in the Craig Avenue Pavilion. Models should sign in at the registration table in the tent 30 minutes prior to the show. To help narrators, please line up at least 15 minutes prior to the show. If you cannot participate in the Show, please contact Fashion Revue Superintendents listed above to arrange a modeling appearance in an alternate style show.
All Senior Fashion Revue participants, parents and leaders are expected to work during the fair to guard the Style Revue and open class Clothing exhibits. Come to Style Revue judging on June 26 with an idea of when you can help out for an hour or two, and sign up at the registration table.
