1a. Lodore Place

1 (non-bushland)

Ligustrum sinense (W4b), Ligustrum lucidum (W4b)

Salix babylonica, Lonicera japonica, Tradescantia fluminensis, Solanum madagascariensis, Morus sp., Ricinus communis, Arundo donax

Low

Moderate

Nothing recorded

Erosion potential is considered to be low as the area is thickly grassed. It is assumed that the pathway will pass through the grassed area.

1b. Lodore Place

2

Ligustrum sinense (W4b), Ligustrum lucidum (W4b)

Lonicera japonica, Araujia hortorum, Anredera cordifolia, Tradescantia fluminensis

Syncarpia glomulifera, Pittosporum undulatum, Callicoma serratifolia, Rapanea variabilis, Angophora costata, Eucalyptus pilularis, Eucalyptus saligna

This area is very rocky. Lantana camara and Ligustrum spp. are increasing in abundance in this area.

It is assumed that the proposed pathway will follow the path along the top of the small cliff line, behind the house boundaries. Many significant geological features occur in this area. The vista from the top of the cliff to the creek is pleasant and it is recommended that weed clearance be undertaken between the house boundaries and the cliff edge to improve the vista and the condition of bushland.

2. Thirlmere Place

3

Ligustrum sinense (W4b), Ligustrum lucidum (W4b)

Ricinus communis, Lantana camara, Solanum mauritianum, Ageratina riparia, Tradescantia fluminensis

Pittosporum undulatum, Ceratopelaum apetulum, Acmena smithii, Callicoma serratifolia, Eucalyptus pilularis

The descent to the creek is steep and rocky. The edges of the creek are also rocky and lined with trapped logs and other flood debris. Creekbank erosion is also evident.

No existing walking tracks were obvious in this area. The sub-canopy and understorey is dominated by weed species with only a few native understorey species evident. It would be difficult to construct a pathway in this area.

3. Ventura Rd - at the junction of Darling Mills Creek and small tributary

3

Ludwidgia peruviana (W2)

Ageratina adenophora, Ageratina riparia, Setaria sp., Acetosa sagittata, Tradescantia fluminensis, Cardiospermum grandiflorum, Bidens pilosa, Ricinus communis, Delairea odorata, Ligustrum sinense

Syncarpia glomulifera, Eucalyptus pilularis

Weeds are mainly restricted to the herbaceous layer. Maintenance weeding is urgently required along both sides of the existing pathway. Scours were observed along the creekbank.

4. Junction of proposed cycleway and Bitumen roadway near dam

Acetosa sagittata, Tradescantia fluminensis, Cardiospermum grandiflorum, Delairea odorata, Ligustrum sinense, Solanum mauritianum

Syncarpia glomulifera, Eucalyptus pilularis, Eucalyptus saligna, Ceratopelaum apetulum, Pittosporum undulatum, Acacia floribunda, Acacia parramattensis, Acacia longifolia

Follow-up weeding required to control understorey weed species. Significant geological features along this section of creek.

5. Brodie Circle (O'Regan Reserve)

3

Ligustrum lucidum (W4b), Ligustrum sinense (W4b)

Zantedeschia aethiopica, Morus alba, Musa paradisica, Araujia hortorum, Anredera cordifolia, Monstera deliciosa, Salix babylonica Erythrina X sykesii, Tradescantia fluminensis, various exotic grasses

Syncarpia glomulifera, Eucalyptus pilularis, Eucalyptus robusta, Eucalyptus saligna, Lophostemon confertus, Pittosporum undulatum

Low

Gully erosion was observed on the opposite creekbank.

A bush park consisting of native and exotic trees over mown grasses and Tradescantia fluminensis. A concrete path already exists through the reserve. It is recommended that all woody weeds, vines and Tradescantia be removed between the bath and the creek.

6. Cook St, Baulkham Hills

2

Ligustrum sinense (seedlings) (W4b), Ligustrum lucidum (seedlings) (W4b)

Araujia hortorum, Erythrina X sykesii, Cinnamomum camphora (seedlings), Tradescantia fluminensis, , Solanum nigrum, Acer sp.

Angophora costata, Eucalyptus pilularis, Syncarpia glomulifera, Allocasuarina littoralis, Ceratopetalum apetulum, Callicoma serratifolia, Pittosporum undulatum

Moderate - high

Moderate - high

Nothing recorded

Small amount of erosion was observed along the steep drop from the road to the creek gully.

A few native groundcovers were observed, however, the creekline is badly in need of follow-up weeding on both sides of the creek. Significant geological features occur along the creekline.

7. Glanmire Rd

2

Ligustrum sinense (W4b), Ligustrum lucidum (W4b)

Ricinus communis, Verbena spp., Morus sp., Sida rhombifolia, Senna pendula, Ehrharta erecta, Bidens pilosa, Solanum mauritianum, Araujia hortorum, Tradescantia fluminensis

Corymbia gummifera, Eucalyptus tereticornis, Acacia decurrens, Acacia longifolia, Syncarpia glomulifera, Bursaria spinosa

Low

Moderate - high

Nothing recorded

It is possible for the path to form the boundary between the bushland area and the mown grass area (for approximately 100 from existing pathway), before entering the bushland area. It is recommended that weeding be completed from the proposed pathway to the edge of the creek (~10m) and to the house boundaries.
