  • Project manager for ongoing field botany surveys at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area (west TN/KY).

  • A variety of tasks from collecting plant specimens for the herbarium to identifying, mounting, and imaging/databasing plant specimens to curatorial assistant odd-jobs maintaining the herbarium.

  • Field technician for ongoing rare plant and vegetation surveys at Clarks River National Wildlife Refuge (west KY) and the Ocoee River Gorge (east TN).

  • Mapping plant communities on GIS as part of an undergoing Communities-of-Tennessee project.

  • Completed botanical surveys (incl. mapping with GPS) of timber sales, range allotments, wells, etc. for rare, threatened, endangered, and watch-list plants and noxious weeds, especially amongst fens, vernal pools, springs, talus slope, sage steppe and other rare plant habitat in accordance with NEPA regulations.

  • Collected native grass seed for restoration projects and treated noxious weeds.
