Translation of AIX specific coding in communication, data processing and communication services for new server platforms using new Solaris 9+ based and conversion implemented in a platform neutral fashion.
Created an outbound proxy server to temporarily service communications to customers while original server was being decommissioned. This also needed to account for networking changes that were occurring simultaneously (moving new server vlans to Nashville office).
Use of the proxy, ancillary services was 100% functional and transparent.
Using both standard and specially customized tools for analysis of 600+ "customer specific" scripts and services resulting in a many-fold reduction in the need and maintenance of these specialized functionalities.
Factored code structured to utilize/expand on existing customer profile/databases which reduced a significant amount of production control and customer services time and resources.

A12 as an extension to existing A.xx standards for cellular/network AAA (Access, Authentication and accounting) implementations and security when foreign or out of network providers are utilized.
Technologies: Embedded Linux, Java ME, Windows, Linux, Radius, Perl, XML, C/C++, Network capture and analysis tools. Automation of common testing procedures and analysis of all collected log files, data/protocol captures and AAA database updates.
Isolated and corrected problematic issues with "RT" VOIP manufactured products using implementations of Windows, Unix/Solaris, and Linux including modifications from Kernel through application layers.

Project was a direct offspring of code and network equipment from previous designs with CompuServe (1980s) that are currently being utilized.
Involved with specification and evaluation of the new Cisco Linux/VServer based intelligent networking routers, FWs, etc. This new architecture is intended to provide for user/oem customization using protected/virtualized execution environments.
