SUBJECT : Central Intelligence Agency Student Programs
With this memorandum we are transmitting information on the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Student Programs. These programs offer excellent opportunities for qualified rehabilitation clients.
The CIA is seeking to increase the number of persons with disabilities in its work force. In addition to its direct employment program, the CIA provides unique employment opportunities for students through various student programs which have been operational for several years.
In meeting with RSA on this issue, the CIA has expressed an interest in increasing the employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities in its organization. Staff from the CIA have informed us that in addition to direct employment, their Undergraduate Scholar Program and Minority Undergraduate Studies Program can provide excellent opportunities for individuals with disabilities to gain employment with the Agency.
The attached information provides vocational rehabilitation State agencies with much useful material for identifying possible job placements and comparable benefits for higher education for appropriate clients. For additional information you may wish to contact Mr. Milton H. Mathis,
P.O. Box 9065, McLean, Virginia 22101-0065. His telephone number is 703-482-6988.
I hope we can use these opportunities for the mutual benefit of our clients and the CIA.
