Northrop Grumman Wins $104 Million State Department Global Data Communications Contract
MCLEAN, Va. – April 2, 2007 – The Department of State’s Enterprise Network Management office has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) a $104 million contract to provide information technology network and program support that will enable multiple U.S. agencies to securely collaborate across the federal government. Northrop Grumman received the task/delivery order under the United States Agency for International Development’s Principal Resource for Information Management Enterprise-wide 3.2 blanket purchase agreement.
As part of the contract, Northrop Grumman’s Information Technology (IT) sector will maintain and improve the State Department’s enterprise-wide IT infrastructure with advanced technology that is secure, stable and expands network services, reliability and response times.
“The Northrop Grumman team will help enhance the State Department’s global IT infrastructure for 400 diplomatic and consular posts around the world,” said Linda A. Mills, president of Northrop Grumman IT’s Civilian Agencies group. “We will continue to seek innovative ways to provide world-class infrastructure support for this system, which is the foundation for the State Department’s next-generation information network.”
The length of the contract is one year plus four one-year options. Work on the contract will be performed at on-site State Department locations in Beltsville, Md., and annexes in the Washington, D.C. area.
