I’d like to thank the San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center and Coordinating Council for their overwhelming support throughout my participation in Nisei Week this year. As a member of the San Fernando Valley Holiness Church down the street, I have witnessed the kind of positive influence that this center has on our community over the years. Now, being a personal recipient of this loving support and generosity has been an amazing gift. Aside from being an organization with one of the longest names (I’ve had a lot of fun trying to get through this in my public introductions), I’ve realized that the San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center and Coordinating Council is a group of new friends and dedicated members who unselfishly promote the well-being of our culture and community. I am so proud to have represented our San Fernando Valley community. Many thanks again, for this wonderful opportunity.
