Why Attend?

This workshop is funded by the University of Michigan Diversity Council and the National Science Foundation, in collaboration with the the Programs for Educational Opportunity at the University of Michigan School of Education and the Women in Science and Engineering Program at the University of Michigan School of Engineering. This workshop offers the chance for schools and organizations committed to informing and motivating girls to pursue classes and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) to come together to learn hands-on math and science activities and share resources. The successful career transition of students and the economic future of Michigan are tied to increased participation of all students in careers that rely on STEM skills and competencies.

You will leave this workshop with an unbelievable collection of resource materials to implement hands-on math and science in your setting!
