PROBLEM

SOLUTION

1

PDA

The screen on the PDA is frozen (not responding to taps) or suffering from the “circling colors” that will not stop.

Solution 1: Tap on the Windows symbol in the upper left corner. If this is responding, select “Settings” from the menu (its at the bottom). In settings, select the “System” tab (at the bottom of the screen). Next, select “Memory”. After that, select the “Running Programs” tab (at the bottom of the screen). You will now see a Running Programs List. Select “Stop All”. A window will ask if you want to End Task. Tap “End Task”. When the list is empty, close out of that screen and return to the main screen. You should then be able to restart your program.

Solution 2: Open the back of the case, use the tip of your stylus to press the reset button (inside the small hole just above the strap on the right side of the PDA).

The GPS signal is red and will not turn green.

The GPS is not receiving (sats 0/0) or still collecting (sats 0/#) satellite signals.

Solution 1: Be patient. When first starting the program it may take a while before the signal turns green. You can check the satellite status by tapping on the GPS signal.

Solution 2: Exit the GPS program and then restart.
