Appendix of diet summary tables for each predator with stomach samples collected during the 2002 survey of the eastern Bering Sea shelf.
For each predator species, the table columns indicate the prey types identified in the stomach contents of all samples (Name), the frequency of occurrence of each prey type as a percentage of the number of stomachs that contained food (PercentFrequency), the numeric composition of the combined stomach contents by prey type (PercentCount*), and the gravimetric composition of the combined stomach contents by prey type (PercentWeight). At the end of each table, summary statistics are presented for the number of stomachs and prey, the size of the predators analyzed, and the average fullness of the predators when the predator weights are known.
*The PercentCount is often an approximation of the true numeric composition because the number of some prey types can not be accurately determined when analyzing the stomach contents. If any prey count data is missing from the data summarized in the table, a warning is given at the end of the table above the sample statistics.
