Herbarium: Yes, formerly but transferred to the Coridon Museum in Nairobi, Kenya in 1948). It contained approximately 30,000 of herbarium specimens.

Ex situ Collections:

Extensive collection of economic plants including fruits such as Citrus spp., Eugenia spp. Mammea spp., Dillenia indica, Pentadesma sp., Achras sapotea, Bouea macrophylla, Annona spp. and Psidium spp. and spices such as Piper nigrum, Elletaria cardamomum, Eugenia caryophyllus, Cinnamomum zeylandium, Myrstica fragrans, Averrhoa spp. and Vanilla planifolia. There is a Palmetum with more than 20 species and a collection of indigenous and endemic species. Adjacent reserve has 270 forest trees, 50 of which are endemics. Extensive hardwood plantations, 460 species remaining from the original research station. Timber species include Khaya spp., Cedrela odorata, Cinnamomum camphora, Sterculia spp., Tectona grandis, Swietenia spp. and 15 different Eucalyptus. Ornamentals. Fodder plants include Paspalum dilatum. Economic species include Coffea spp., Camellia sinensis, Alerites spp. and Cinchona spp. Shade trees include Grevillea robusta, Hovenia dulcis, Albizzia chinensis, Cordia alliodara, Maesopsis meninii, Gliricidia sepium, Erythrina spp. and Schizolobium parahybum.
