Questions During Reading:

  • “How old is he in the beginning and end of the story?”

  • “Why is he eating so much?”

  • “What will happen at the end?”

Follow-up Activities:

  1. Students can make their own mini book about the caterpillar, using their own creativity to develop different details in their story.

  2. A lesson about the days of the week can be taught using this book.

  3. Kindergarten teachers may want to use it to teach numbers, counting, and colors.
