Setting up the Sony PTZ Camera
Network Connection
The camera is administered through a browser and uses a default IP address of 192.168.0.100.
Before the camera can be viewed through a different subnet besides the 192.168.0.0 network, it must be configured.
To configure the network, first configure one of the Ethernet ports on the Mac Pro for a 192.168.0.xxx address (Eg. 192.168.0.2)

Plug the Ethernet cable from the configured NIC port to the camera NIC port.
Open a browser and enter the default IP address of the camera (192.168.0.100)
You will see a welcome screen.

If you do not need to change the IP address you may proceed directly to the Java Applet viewer.

If you do need to change the default configuration, you must first enter the Administrator module. (Click “Administrator”)
User name and password by default are admin and admin.

This will bring you to the main menu on the left side of the window. Click “Camera” to change setting such as “flip” and “day/night”

Choose “Network” to reconfigure IP address.

These two modules should be the only ones needed to be configured.

After configuring the camera, copy the full IP address directly from the browser and add it to the Net Station video console module.
