The genus Tetrastigma (Miq.) Planch. is readily differentiated from other genera in the family Vitaceae by its apparent 4-lobed stigma and dioecious habit. But species, in certain circumstances, identification is hardly distinguished from one to another. The genus is distributed in tropical and subtropical Asia with ca. 100 species. In Thailand, it is one of the plant genera that has not been completely revised for the flora of Thailand project. Therefore, this work is focused on a taxonomic revision of the Thai Tetrastigma. The present results mostly based on literature reviews and investigation of herbarium specimens enumerated that there are over 45 existing names in Thailand mainly in the northern part. Seven species viz. T. harmandii, T. hookeri, T. laoticum, T. leucostaphylum, T. papillosum, T. pedunculare and T. quadrangulum were recorded as the hosts of Rafflesiaceous plants in Thailand.
