461 Rowing. Irish Amateur Rowing Union Wylie Cup, enamel on 9 carat gold by Weir €100

& Sons, obv crests of four provinces and crossed oars, rev engraved “WYLIE

CUP 1925 won by DUBC HL. Dixon, DJ. Armstrong, CF. Cope, ED. Staunton,

JM. McElligot (cox). Wylie Cup was presented by Justice Wylie in 1922 for Intervarsity competition. Extremely fine.



462 Large brass medallion for Robert Campbell Oration, 7.5cm dia, engraved to “JH. €50

Biggar 1948”. Ulster-born Robert Campbell FRCS (1866-1920) was a pioneering

surgeon, based in Belfast from 1897. After his death a memorial prize was

instigated, the winner of which was required to deliver an oration to the medical profession
